Bead Soup Package

Bead Soup Ingredients Arrive

Lori Anderson has arranged another wonderful Bead Soup Party.  I’ve been partnered with the talented jewelry designer, Elisabeth Auld.  I wrote about Elisabeth and the Bead Soup Party earlier this week.   Just today, I realized that Elisabeth was the Designer of the Week in September at the Art Bead Scene Blog.  Yay, Elisabeth!large soup bowl and ladle

This week all the Bead Soup Partners sent off packages of “ingredients” for Bead Soup.  Our packages were to include a pendant or focal piece, a nice clasp and some coordinating beads.  Just look at the lovely ingredients that Elisabeth sent me!

I was so delighted when I opened the tin which was wrapped with the felt ribbon you see in the background.  This generous serving of beads includes stick pearls, glass, ceramic beads and felt beads.  Also, note the sweet little bird on the right!

I think I literally gasped aloud when I saw this gorgeous pendant.  Elisabeth made it herself!  I LOVE it!!!! Oh my gosh, I couldn’t have been luckier.  I’m so glad that I have such a talented partner!  And she made the clasp, as well.  Wow!  Thank you Elisabeth!

The big Reveal date will be Saturday, February 26th.  Be sure to come back then to see what everyone has made with their Bead Soup ingredients!

  1. I wanna play too!! I guess I need to be reading some of the blogs you subscribe to. When do you find all the TIME for all this computer-izing? I can’t wait to see what you come up with. What did you send Elizabeth?

    • Lee Anne- I’m pretty much either working (for the UW), beading or “computerizing”. Not much else! Click on the link to Elisabeth’s blog and she will probably soon post pics of the beads I sent her.
