Kaz Baildon Bead Giveaway Blog Hop

My online friend, Lesley Watt of THEAtoo is hosting today’s blog hop.  Lesley’s friend, Kaz Baildon, gave Lesley a generous bunch of her lampwork glass beads.  In turn Lesley shared this gift with a randomly chosen group of designers.  I received the bead shown below and today we are revealing what we created with the beads we were given.

Unfortunately I left this task till the last minute and as it turned out, I became sick at the last minute.  I nevertheless designed the necklace and I quite like how it turned out.   I placed the button on the side and used a pendant by Marsha Neal.  Small cube beads and purple seed beads weave in and out of larger lilac colored beads.

Now you can have some fun hoping through the blogs of the other participants.  Everyone received different beads, so it will be fun to see all the different designs that everyone created.  Have fun.  I’ll be lying on the couch, under some blankets, with a mug of hot tea, and decongestants while perusing all this creativity!

  1. That’s really pretty Linda – love the vibrant colours and the asymmetric design and I really like the double focal points.. Thanks for taking part hanging in there while you’re unwell, I know just how hard it is to focus when you feel ill!

  2. My goodness, if you make such a beautiful design at the last second I wonder what you would have done earlier….LOL! Love the combination of colors and texture. A feast for the eyes. Get well soon.

  3. Gosh, you came up with that while you were sick? I saw that bead in the pile and wondered what the heck someone was going to do with it. I’m impressed!

    Hope you feel better soon.

    Happy creating!

  4. So sorry to hear you have been sick…the crud just seems to be getting so many of us the last month or so. I love your design…fantastic colors…everything just beautiful! I hope you feel better soon 🙂

  5. Ah, so hard this time of year to get sick… I hope you get a chance to rest up and recover quickly. You still managed to make an incredibly feminin and ethereal necklace. I was excited to see who got the button, it’s so charming. Beautiful job!

  6. Linda, that’s such a beautiful piece! I like how you paired it with Marsha’s pendant – perfection!
Hope you’re feeling better – need to get well and bake yummy cookies 🙂 Christmas is just around the corner 😉

  7. Placing that bead/button on the side was really clever. I know that I would have had the mindset to try to use it as the focal, but this works so much better! Very cool. I hope you’re feeling better.

  8. Sorry it’s taken me a few days to get to you been really busy with work!! You did a great job and you’d never know it was last minute – love that you used the button on the side!!

Hope you are feeling better now 🙂
